ARTISAN MADE | HANDMADE | ONE OF A KIND
Mexican Sole Bolsas are hand woven by Indigenous Women from the community of Chamula, located in the southern part of Mexico in the Chiapas region.
The Artisans use an ancient Mayan weaving technique that has been passed down through many generations. To make a single bag it takes 30 hours weaving time across 5 days.
Each piece is unique and the Artisans do not follow a guide when it comes to the colors they choose for the shoulder strap, they simply pick the colors that they are enjoying at that time
Please be mindful that your shoulder strap might be different to the one pictured as it is impossible for us to show them all.
Whether you are taking this one of a kind gem to the beach or for a day out on the town, the beautiful bright colors will make any outfit pop!
When you purchase our products you are supporting communities of Mexican artisans by empowering them to preserve their traditional art and cultural heritage.

Very well made, sturdy, consistent weaving everywhere down to the straps and the tassels. Definitely a hot contender against the SAK, but even better because they’re all handmade by indigenous Mexican women and much more affordable. Not every pattern is the same because the women create the patterns as they go according to how they feel so you can be sure you’ll always be carrying a one of a kind! I love the combination of brown and turquoise, its got an ethnic tribal look to it. Length of the strap is just right and wide enough to sit comfortably on the shoulder. Super love thank you! -Love from the Philippines and Australia!
